I graduated from Bahria University Islamabad, majoring in International Relations and Politics, and have previously worked at The Jinnah Institute Islamabad. With my academic background in global politics, focused on the multifaceted aspects of today's challenges, becoming a Young Development Fellow was a fitting choice for launching my academic and work career into the desired direction.
I joined Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform with the aim to formulate innovative initiatives and work on progressive projects initiated under Pakistan's Vision 2025. As a YDf, I am a shared resource between the Minister's Office Research Cell and the Development Communications Project. My work entails overseeing a wide-range of Strategic Initiatives for the Ministry, while simultaneously rolling out my own Personal Projects related to Asian Regional Integration, Social Media and Mass Media Communication Campaigns, and the Tourism Industry.
This programme gives me necessary understanding of the government sector, provides hands on experience of how indigenous development projects are produced, the administrative processes involved, and its implementation strategies. I belong to South Waziristan Agency, FATA. As its fate has to be determined in the near future, its development and restructuring policies are yet to be formulated. I believe that by gaining experience while working on socio-development projects under MOPDR, my goal of eventually contributing to the progress and development of Tribal Areas will also be actualized.
